The tours incorporate a variety of use cases which demonstrate how technology helps ensure that the correct medication and dose gets to the right patient, at the right time and via the right route.  In the Intelligent Health-System Pavilion Pharmacies, the latest solutions can automatically alert the pharmacist when a patient requires life-saving drugs, while smart storage cabinets ensure medication can be identified automatically, and infusion pumps dispensing medication can communicate with the hospital’s electronic health record.  Usage patterns of medications can be analyzed and shared with reporting tools while controlled substances can be managed by sending replenishment requests electronically from the drug storage cabinets.
